Dr. Matthew Dunn
Dr. Matthew Dunn is an Organizational Psychologist, Organizational Sport Psychologist, and Master Certified Professional Coach who partners with motivated individuals, teams, and organizations to analyze, construct, and optimize principle-driven performance-enhancing cultures. Having spent nearly a decade working as a collegiate soccer coach, and another working in organizational development, Matthew knows that the true power of culture comes from harnessing the narratives, stories, metaphors, and conversations an organization uses to live its story.
Matthew has helped collegiate sports teams achieve new levels of competitive success, start-ups find stability and profitability, non-profits grow and amplify their missions, and for-profit businesses find their unique brand and market position, all by harnessing the power of their unique cultural stories to achieve, grow and flourish.
Matthew holds the United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, is a certified CultureTalk Coach, a graduate of Seth Godin’s altMBA program, a certified DISC coach, a former New York State certified teacher, and a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt.
When not leading expeditions into the cultural unknown, Matthew is the host of the wildly popular Performance Rising podcast, is an avid hiker (he is an Adirondack 46-er), and according to his children, he is a world-class DJ.
Matthew holds a Master of Education from the University at Buffalo and a Doctor of Psychology in Organizational Leadership Psychology from William James College.
